The Gokyo Hospitality Internship Program is a paid program offered to highly skilled candidates that are completing or have completed hospitality studies and have relevant hospitality experience. Positions are available in Food Production / Culinary, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Hospitality Management (Cafe & Restaurant Management Trainee, Hotel Management Trainee).
The Training Visa (Subclass 407) paid professional internship program aims to develop the candidate’s skills in a profession they are already familiar with both knowledge and experience and looking to progress to the next stage of their career while receiving financial remuneration for their participation in the program.
Program Details
- Tailored training related to your skills and academic background
- 6 months, 9 months or 12-month positions, full time
- PAID - Australian Award Wage: minimum $22 per hour

Eligibility*
- Age: between 18 – 45 years old
- Graduates: A recent graduate (minimum Diploma level of a full-time Hospitality Management or Culinary management for Kitchen)
- Minimum Study Requirement: The equivalent of at least 12 months of full-time experience and/or studies related to the occupation in the 24 months at the time of visa lodgement.
- Work Experience: Minimum 6 months full-time (or 12 months part-time) in the selected internship department (for students)
- Internship Field: Studies and experience must be related to the nominated internship department.
- Preference: Currently working in the selected internship department.
- Character : You must obtain police clearance from each country you have lived in.
- English: Upper intermediate-advanced English language skills. IELTS 4.5 or equivalent
- Financial support: you might be asked to provide evidence that you can financially support yourself during your stay in Australia
- Health Insurance: You must meet certain health requirements and Have adequate health insurance while in Australia
The Training Visa may allow the applicant to:
- Apply for this visa offshore or onshore (subject to certain requirements).
- Live in Australia for up to 2 years to complete the training stated in your application.
- Travel to and from Australia for the validity of the visa.
- Bring eligible family members to accompany you in Australia. Your spouse can work up to 20 hours per week.
